Designed with concrete as the hero, this three-level new home explores the material through a series of raw, fluid and curved forms. At its centre, an 8-metre-diameter circular pool and spa pivots the plan, allowing landscape and light to percolate throughout the home. A central entertaining zone, framed by pivoting steel doors and curved rear glazing, creates a seamless connection between the pool, living spaces and rear alfresco. The children’s wing extends to the rear of the allotment, carefully positioned to capture northern light. On the first floor, the master suite is defined by a catwalk walk-in robe and ensuite, overlooking the spaces below. Connecting all three levels, a sculptural helix stair in microcement forms the architectural heart of the home. Above, a circular oculus draws daylight deep into the stairwell, creating a contemporary interpretation of the Pantheon.
