An established character home in Toorak Gardens has been transformed through a highly detailed interior renovation. The existing floorplan was carefully overhauled, opening previously segregated rooms and forming framed views between spaces. These new connections draw the rear landscape into the heart of the home, creating a stronger relationship between the interior and garden. At the centre of the home, a sculpted brass-clad island anchors the kitchen and provides a natural gathering point for family and everyday life. The charm and character of the original home are retained through a rich palette of dark timber, wood panelling and brass accents, complemented by the crisp introduction of black steel-framed doors.
New and existing elements are carefully balanced, creating an interior that feels grounded in the character of the house while establishing a contemporary language designed to endure for many years to come.
